A guided visit by coach and on foot that will allow you to see the most famous monuments of Classical Rome: the St. Peter’s Basilica, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona.
Programme
Departing from the Piazza della Repubblica, where you can admire the Fountain of the Naiads; accompanied by a local guide, we start our pleasant walk through the historical centre to admire:
- The celebrated Trevi Fountain, a scenographic work that combines classic and baroque architecture, where the tourists throw a coin for good luck;
- The Marcus Aurelius Column, dating back to the II century A.D., decorated with bas-relief that celebrate the deeds of the Roman emperor;
- Montecitorio Palace, designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, today the seat of the Chamber of Deputies;
- Madama Palace, redesigned in the 16th and 17th centuries, today the seat of the Senate of the Republic;
- Piazza Navona, the symbol of Roman Baroque, where you can admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, the Neptune Fountain and the Moor Fountain, and the Church of St. Agnes in Agony, whose facade was designed by Francesco Borromini;
- The Pantheon, a cult building from ancient Rome, dedicated to all the gods, then transformed into a Christian Church, which we will also visit internally.
Then we pick up the coach and go directly to the St. Peter’s Basilica, after we have skirted around the Castel Sant’Angelo. First we visit the inside of the Basilica, the guide will show you the masterpieces of art contained in it, among which the celebrated Pietà of Michelangelo Buonarroti.
Return to the hotel.

The tour is available every day except the 26th March; the tour takes place in the morning and lasts around 3 hours.
