For the hot summer nights there is full air conditioning and the internal shutters and mosquito nets on all the windows aid a great night's sleep. An open fire complements the central heating for full use in the winter. The artisan built fully fitted kitchen typical of the antique Tuscan furniture.

Surroundings: Casa Uva, situated in Southern Tuscany, is perfect for visiting all the beautiful Renaissance hill towns of Cortona, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia, Lucignano, Pienza, Montepulciano; all within 30 to 45 minutes driving. Assisi is just over an hour. Daytrips to Florence and Rome are possible by rail from the nearby station of Terontola. Lake Trasimeno with boat trips and water sports and the beautiful Val D'Orcia are both within 20 minutes driving. The Etruscan hill town of Cortona, with artworks, workshops, museums, unique shops and first class restaurants, is only 15 minutes by car. For the most serious shopper the Val di Chiana Outlet Village is easily accessible by car. The area is adjacent to one of the top three wine areas of Italy, that of the Brunello of Montalcino Wine, and you can visit the near vineyards of the Montepulciano region, famous for the Nobile of Montepulciano Wine.
