2km from the villa in the town of Piastre are found the services of: a bank, supermarket, baker and some small restaurants, Pistoia is 15km away; there you will find large shopping centres, train station and all the services.
The villa is in an ideal position to stay and discover the Tuscan cities of art, you can reach by car: the Versiliese coast 60km, Pisa 82km, Montecatini with its Spas and Golf Course 30km, Quarrata’s Golf Course 30km. We advise you to travel by train to: Florence 55km, Lucca 60km, Cinque Terre 150km.
Guests of the villa can appreciate the well preserved natural environment, a perfect destination for those who love to take long walks. The area is rich in paths for walking, mountain biking or on horseback. It is also an area rich in rivers and lakes for fishing or canoeing and offers a variety of possibilities to do free-climbing and many other open air sports. As well, during the summer season, the Pistoia Mountains offer a rich programme of cultural and recreational events, such music and folklore festivals, gastronomic feasts and medieval re-enactments. In winter the Apennines are transformed into a white paradise where the enthusiasts of alpine skiing, carving, snowboarding and cross-country skiing can try out on over 80km of slopes of various levels. The centre of the district is represented by the Abetone, the most important winter station in all of central Italy but besides the best slopes also are present to Cutigliano and to Maresca (cross country skiing).
